Betsy's Blossoms

Two more days to sign up for the July 7th class.  I already have 10 RSVP's, but have room for a few more.  Please let me know if you are interested by Friday, June 23rd.  Don't forget to RSVP here and by sending me an email so I can confirm your reservations and give you further instruction.  Today, I'm sharing one of the cards that we will be making.  We will be using a new stamp set called Betsy's Blossoms.
Someone is chillaxing on my paper cutter.  Sorry Mochiko - soon you will have to give up your comfy sleeping spot because I will be doing some serious paper cutting!

I am looking forward to seeing all of you again!  I appreciate all of your support!

It's Class Time! The Sneak Peek and sign up info

Okay, I've been meaning to get back on the computer and do this post after I finish my one million things on my to do list!  It was taking me too long to get through my list so I decided to side track from my list and just do this post! LOL!
Finally! Tonight is the night that I'm committed to finishing this post!  The idea of getting back into doing classes was so exciting!  I started planning a "mini" class, that somehow just grew into a regular class.  Soooooo, I am giving it a try and will be offering a class using this new and fun stamp set called Betsy's Blossoms.

Here's the info for the class:
When:  Saturday, July 7 at my home from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
What we will be making:  *  6 cards (2 each of 3 designs) with matching envelopes
                                          *  One stationery holder with notepad with matching card and envelope
Cost:  $20
Bring your basic tool kit (mainly your adhesive and whatever you use to craft, and your reading glasses, if needed)

Kits are reserved on a first come, first served basis.  I will commit to making 10 kits right now, and if there are more than 10 responses, I might have to do a additional class on another day.  Remember, this is my first class since October 2011 so I gotta get back into the swing and don't want to stress myself out for this first class.
If you are interested in attending this class, please RSVP by commenting to this post AND send me an email.  This way, I won't miss your RSVP.  The deadline to RSVP is Friday, June 23rd to allow time to order the supplies and cut the kits.  After you RSVP and get a confirmation from me that you have a kit reserved for you, I will need you to mail your payment to me ASAP.  The payment will hold your reservation for your kit.  Additional information will be sent to you via email.
After I stopped doing classes in October and was planning to deactivate, I haven't placed an order since then.  I will need to collect your payment to purchase the supplies for this class.
The time allowed for this class should be enough time to complete everything.  I will need to stick to the 2:00 p.m. end time because I'll have to allow enough time to clean up and pick up my Dad from daycare.  Ideally, future classes may be held on a Sunday because Dad is home (no daycare) and I will have a caregiver to watch him.
I will provide iced tea and some small refreshment - possibly brownies??  I know that we will be working during the lunch hour, so feel free to bring lunch for yourself.  You are not obligated to bring food for everyone!  And the reason why I am not offering to provide lunch (it sounds so selfish of me) is because it will add too much stress on me and then I won't be able to do future classes.  I HAVE to stay on this schedule in order to finish on time and leave to pick up my Dad.  If you are planning to take a lunch break, just remember that we will be cleaning up the tables at 2:00 p.m.  Please bear with me while I get back into a routine for these classes, it's been so long!
I haven't given thoughts to the "to go" kits that I used to offer.  If anyone is interested in kits and cannot attend the class, send me an email and I'll figure something out.
Well, here is the sneak peek for the cards:
And here is the sneak peek for the stationery holder:
This stationery holder is an idea from Brandy Coxon.
Looking forward to hearing from you and hoping that some of you are still interested in coming to my class!
Thanks for stopping in to read my post today!

Retired In Color bundle for sale!

Just wanted to Thank all of you who commented and emailed me about my mini class that's in the works.  I'm so blessed to have so much support from you!  More on the class in my next post.
I'm trying to tidy up my craft room and move out some of the retired items that I have sitting around.  I am planning on another garage sale as soon as I can get my act together.
While trying to fit in my new In Color ink pads and pens, I decided to take out the In Colors that just retired on May 31.  Can you believe that I probably used only a couple of the ink pads a few times?  I don't think I ever used the ink refills or the pens so they are new!
When I added up the cost for what you see here, it came out to $62.00.  I am selling this bundle for $31, which is 50% off of the retail price!
Anyone interested?  I only have one bundle, so it will be sold to the first person interested.  You can comment (make sure that I have your email so I can reply) or just send me an email.  Thanks!

Having Second Thoughts

Well, I found out that I wasn't deactivated from SU just yet.  I guess the small orders that I placed kept me active until the end of June.  Hmm, you think there was a reason for that??  Well, I started to have second thoughts about dropping out of SU as a demonstrator.  Gosh, having almost 10 years behind me isn't so easy to give up.  I do have until the end of June to figure everything out.  But for now, I'm still in!  It is such a good time to be a demonstrator because the NEW CATALOG is here!  I must admit that I am really excited about the new catalog and all that it has to offer.
Anyone interested in a catalog?  I will be ordering some tomorrow.  If you would like to receive a catalog, send me an email.  I will send one to you for $5.  If you live on Oahu, and you want to make arrangements for pick up, let me know.  If you want a sneak peek at it, you can click on the link on my side bar on the left.
The new catalog got me excited and I am working on projects for a mini class real soon.  I hope there are still people interested in attending.  I'd love feedback from you!  Please leave me a comment to let me know if there is interest!

Ladies Who Lunch

It's about time that I updated my blog huh!  I'm constantly reminding myself to update my blog, but I'm always running out of time or energy.  Finally found a little time to upload some photos of some projects that made for one of my bosses.  Haunani has a lunch gathering every 2-3 months with her classmates and their group is called Ladies Who Lunch.  I love that name!  Here are the place cards and favors that I made for their May 2012 luncheon that they had at the Waioli Tea Room.  I was really pleased with the way they turned out especially since I haven't done crafting like this in a while!  I made place cards for each person, kept it simple.
Here is the back of the place card.  We decided to label the place cards with the location of the luncheon since it's never the same place\ and the date.  Found out that the ladies have been keeping their place cards as souveniers.
One of the ladies brought their baby grandson to the luncheon, so we made a place card for him.
These were the favors that I made.  Found these cute mini acetate gable boxes at Islands Marketing.  We filled it with M&M's and used cherry cobbler seam binding around it.  Finished it off with a tag tied with baker's twine.

Thanks to Tobie for helping me put these together!  After working on this project, it made me want to do more!
