Ice Cream Card

Happy 4th!  Hope you enjoyed the long 4th of July weekend!  It was very busy, but productive for me.  I was able to do a lot of much needed yard work and it the weather was just beautiful for me to be outside.  I even got a little tan from being out in the nice sun (yes, I did use sunscreen!).  My neighbors are the best.  They mow my lawn whenever they do their lawn and this week, Chris even trimmed my bouganvillia bushes because I can't reach the top.  I've been wanting to clean up the front yard because there was such an overgrowth of weeds.  It made our house look like it was abandoned ! LOL!  It took me a couple of hours to clean this area up, with the help of my sister who gave me a hand.  There's still a little more to weed as you can see, but it will be easy since it's so dry and we have sand.  When it is all cleaned up,  I plan to plant some sunflowers here, probably during the week or weekend.
Such a beautiful sunshiney day.  This is the view looking down my driveway.  The mountains are so pretty with the beautiful blue sky.
I was able to clean up the anthurium house in the back yard. I know that it doesn't look like I cleaned up, but I really did.  I took out all of the pots with no plants in it (they all died) and pulled out all of the weeds on the grown. Had to make room for two new hapu'u logs with anthuriums growing wild on it from Wini's neighbor Pearl, who was gonna get rid of them.  I love it, free plants!
On to my card!  Here is the card that I made a week ago with Wini.  It was so hard to get back into the groove to create with paper again.  But I'm loving the new Petite Pennants Builder punch #122361.  I also love that this punch goes with the stamp set called Pennant Parade #122740 wood, #122742 cling.  I used one of the stamps from the set for the cone part of the ice cream.  The top of the ice cream was punched out using the cupcake punch #121807.  We embossed the ice cream with the perfect polka dots embossing folder #117335.  The scallop square was cut out using the Sizzix Scallop Square Duo die #120903 and embossed with the embossing folder called Square Lattice #119976.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the stamp set called Bring on the Cake #121899 wood, #121958 cling.  I embellished the square with basic rhinestones #119246 and pink taffeta ribbon - oops, didn't realize that this color retired - sorry!  Cardstock colors - Kraft and Baja Breeze.
Here's the inside of the card.  This sentiment is a hostess set called Happiest Birthday Wishes which you can earn using hostess dollars.  If you haven't already noticed, SU has changed their hostess program where you earn hostess dollars to spend on hostess sets.  I'm loving these new hostess sets!
I know that this is a long post, but just had to get everything in since I'm not able to post daily for now anyway.  Got to post a couple photos of the Queen.  Thanks to everyone who send me emails asking for photos of Mochiko.  We take tons of them so I have lots to share.   Since she is the new owner of the couch, she is making sure she uses every part of it.  Here she is sitting on the top of the chair and doesn't she look comfortable! My cute brat :)
A mug shot - LOL!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and starting your week with me!  I have more cards to share with you so hopefully, I will have time to work on another post for this week.  Have a great week! Sending all of you big hugs!
